This is the summer's perfect desert, especially if you aren't the best baker in the world. It's Strawberry Shortcake made simple! You can use some angel food cake, pound cake or ready made short cake. I just like it better with the angel or pound cake. Cut angel food or pound cake into slices. Spread on a layer of fat free cool whip (it's just as good) place a slice of cake on top then add another layer of cool whip. You can make as many layers as u wish and top it with a strawberry! Many people like to make a strawberry spread to put on top but that takes more time and makes the cake soggy so I don't do it. My kids and husband love it and I'm sure yours will as well! So dig in and enjoy :D
