Schooling On My Front Porch

It was such a beautiful day today and I just couldn't stay indoors. So I drug all the desks out onto the front porch and we began school.
It went well. Spring time is the best time to do school outside :) It's not too hot and it's not too cold.

This was my work space for the day. Really it was my break space lol you can see my facebook is up. I was just catching up on my morning news ;) I really didn't get to spend much time here but I did get a few mins in ;)
At the end of the day my son Jon brought me these tiny clovers from the drive way after Bible devotion down by the creek. It's the tiny things in life that I think are the most beautiful :)

Looks like a wonderful way to school! We've gone out a couple of times and did some of our schoolwork while lounging on blankets in the yard. It's nice to mix it up sometimes!

Yes! Homeschooling can become monotonous and a change of scenery can be good and sometimes distracting lol But it's all about keeping things fresh for the kids.

We love taking our lessons outside when spring rolls in. Such a nice change from our long Wisconsin winters.
